A time to love a time to hate (the clock method)

By - No comments:
There is, as the song goes, a time to love and a time to hate. In order to take what life has to offer us we must love life. When we love life we approach it with open arms and draw good things towards ourselves. Some people see this as a sort of magic (the law of attraction) but it is nothing of the sort. In reality lovers of life are more lucky than other people because they expect the best from others. This tends to bring out the best in people and also causes the lover of life to see opportunity when it is there.
There is also a time to hate.
There is a worm eating at the heart of western society and in the heart of many men. Political correctness expresses itself as discrimination against men and in self hatred. The trouble is that focusing upon this evil can cause us to miss opportunities when we see them. Many of the best jobs are government jobs- but we will never apply for them while we believe the state to be a feminist monolith. There must be a way to combine realism with a sunny disposition.
My own method is to use a clock. Between 7.00am and 11.00pm I have the personality of a Labrador puppy. I approach everyone as if they were my friend- even feminists. Most 'feminists' really have no idea what the word means. There are many feminists who believe it has something to do with equality and I give these women a chance to be their best selves.
From 11.00pm onwards I allow myself to be the realist. I read blogs such as this one about the various ways in which men are screwed. This is a sort of mental rehearsal for coming battles, but I always clear my mind the following morning so that I can be open to whatever the new day has for me.

I love Alison

The trouble with education is that it is expensive and most people cannot find the time for it. Learning involves traveling to a large city, giving up regular work and spending a great deal of money on lectures that will inevitably be expensive as they involve a live performance by a skilled lecturer.
Very few people could afford such a show through their own resources and so the state stepped in and poured money into it. This made a degree only slightly more affordable but did nothing to overcome the other problems- and the fact that conventional education is reliant on good lecturers. State funding brought its own problems, of course because western universities became overrun by minority groups such as feminists who were only interested in promoting their own agenda. Basically, in a university you get what you are given. You have to accept the ideology that is served up to you or you simply will not pass.
This is old technology and is a perfect picture of how society was organised prior to the Internet. Information flows downwards from the apex of some pyramid and is tightly controlled by a well intentioned elite.
It is not surprising that we see this system starting to break down. Allison is a sort of free vocational course provider that is funded entirely by advertising. If you wish to be issued with certificates there is a charge for this- but it is possible to avoid the need for physical certificates completely as the information is available online.

It should be noted that some courses do not result in a certificate and that the computer seriously underestimates the time spent studying. These are minor gripes.
An employer may check the courses you have completed simply by clicking a link directly from your C.V.
The main problems are that many of the courses do not correspond to mainstream ones and there is no formal examination at the end. This means that Alison certificates are generally not understood by employers. To counter this Alison have introduced flash tests by which candidates may take an instant test at any time- even at the interview if this is required.
This is an exciting, competency based approach and I wish them well.

Love pleasure or love death

By - No comments:
I lived in south Italy many years ago and one of the things that most impressed me was the pleasure men took in everyday life. This information sat in the back of my mind for thirty years until I finally understood what it signified.
Nations such as Japan, Britain and Germany tend to have specialised roles for men and women. Women specialise in pleasure while men specialise in death. This is not to say (of course) that women have perfect lives but it does mean that women have permission to indulge themselves in ways that men do not. Women spend money on their appearance and on their health. They also consider there own feelings to be important and take the time to look after their emotional health.
The greater the disparity between the sexes on the issue of pleasure the more willing men appear to be to die. We see this very clearly in Japan where men literally work themselves to death and do not even take holidays. It is very striking to look at the Japanese tourists on the London underground. The only male examples I have ever seen were in excess of seventy years old.
If a man is not worthy of pleasure then he is not worthy. Period. So what does a man do in order to prove himself? It depends on the needs of the moment. Sometimes it involves empire building, sometimes industry and sometimes it involves huge explosions of cultural creativity. It is no coincidence that all of the nations mentioned have histories of empire and are currently great economic powers.
We may ask ourselves why this mode of culture is so popular in the world when it offers so little pleasure. The truth is that these attitudes are spread by empire. The USA for example has copied this life destroying culture from the UK and continues to promote it through its own empire building in the middle east. Life destroying cultures tend to be very good at war.
In order to understand the alternative we must look at nations that are bad at war such as Italy. Here you will find men who behave as if they were worth something. They spend money on clothes, they eat well, they form deep and meaningful friendships with one another.
Pleasure and joy in life is our secret weapon. Most people know there is something missing.

The lost hope of romance

By - No comments:
Why is it that romantic tales are almost always set in a bygone age? Is it that we have lost hope for romance in our own age?
I believe that men are just as interested in romance as women- it is just that we express our self's in practical ways rather than symbolic ones. Women tend to prefer a flamboyant style or romance with champagne and twenty four red roses- even if she does not like champagne. With women it is always the thought that counts while with men it is the practical result.
Romance fiction relies upon a sense of mystery towards the opposite sex. The woman is generally a virgin and comes from a sheltered background. She knows little of men and the hero knows little of women. He is a little older and often has a dark history that makes him interesting. The hero generally comes from a all male world such as the navy or the world of business so that he can regard the heroine as a fragile and exotic flower. He becomes obsessed with her because he lacks the feminine in his life, does not understand it and yet craves it.
Where is this mystery now? How can a man and a woman see one another as mystery when we are told every day that men and women are essentially similar? Where is the mystery when we are told that a woman feels the same emotions and experiences the world as we do? What can possibly be discovered apart from sex?
This is the root cause of the over sexing of society- the idea that men and women have nothing to discover in one another but their bodies. Once we have accepted this simple lie then there is nothing else to the opposite sex that is remotely interesting.
